In addition to free travel on public transport, citizens of Ukraine will enjoy free services of municipal sports centers, swimming pools, museums, theaters, libraries, media libraries, art schools, and the Student Youth Palace.

You only need to show a Ukrainian passport to use these services free of charge.

At the same time, according to the City Hall, the municipal kindergartens have started accepting Ukrainian children with free services for those Ukrainian children who crossed the border after January 1, 2022.

Bank of Georgia cooperates with 6 hotels to accommodate Ukrainians in Georgia. According to the bank, "IDPs from Ukraine" who need to stay in a hotel should call the following number: (+995 32) 2 444 444

"Bank of Georgia will provide accommodation for IDPs for a period of 1 month," the bank said.

Citizens stand with Ukraine

Georgian citizens and businesses have offered free overnight accommodation and other types of assistance to Ukrainian citizens in the country who are unable to return to Ukraine due to the start of a military invasion of the country by Russian forces. 

There are numerous social media groups, and dozens of Georgians have already offered their support to citizens of the country, posting they were ready to provide accommodation to those in need. Various restaurants, hotels, hostels, hospitals, and stores have also joined the initiative, offering their services free of charge.

On the other hand, many citizens or businesses are ready to shelter Ukrainians fleeing the war. Many such initiatives have been planned and disseminated on social media. Georgians offer assistance to Ukrainians unable to return to the country due to conflict. Numerous points have been set up in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi, where humanitarian aid and medicines for Ukrainians are collected. In addition, the Facebook group "Платформа українців Грузії Ukrainian Platform in Georgia" created an info-hub for Ukrainians and Georgian citizens to collect and disseminate information about the humanitarian and medical needs of Ukrainians.
