Children affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine will be enrolled in Georgian schools in a simplified manner

According to the decision of the Government of Georgia, as a result of the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, schoolchildren who are unable to continue their general education in Ukrainian schools and express a desire to continue their education in Georgia will be enrolled in schools in a simplified manner.

Schoolchildren can be enrolled in the class in which they were studying at a general education institution in Ukraine as of February 24, 2022.

Those wishing to continue their studies in Georgia should apply to the desired school. Georgia, like other countries, will offer schoolchildren from Ukraine to study in public and private schools in both state and other languages.

It should be noted that according to the current regulations, a foreign citizen who wants to continue his / her education in a Georgian school must apply to the Georgian National Center for Educational Quality Development and submit various types of documents in order to be recognized as educated in his / her country. According to the decision of the Government of Georgia, the regulation does not apply to schoolchildren from Ukraine and they will be able to continue their studies in Georgia in a simplified manner.
