Georgia is a country located in the Caucasus, at the intersection of eastern Europe and western Asia. The country is bordered by Russia, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan and is bounded by the Black sea. The population of Georgia is approximately 3.7 million people excluding Russian-occupied territories (20% of Georgia is occupied by Russia).
The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi, also being the largest city in the country. The national language is Georgian, but many Georgians speak Russian also and most of the young people can speak English too. Georgia is a representative democracy governed as a unitary parliamentary republic. 83.4% of the population are Orthodox Christians. Georgia is famous for its distinctive geography, including mountains, seaside, and dessert too. It is also well known for the oldest wine-making traditions.
